Asher School of the Elements is a boarding school and university for the "gifted" - the secret subset of the population that is capable of controlling one of five elements. Fire, earth, air, water, and electricity. The gift is usually a hereditary one, although occasionally the gifted can pop up in otherwise normal families. Asher itself is a remote city located along the coast of Washington state, populated entirely by the gifted and their families.

DEC 7th I want to sincerely thank the members that have joined us, and welcome any guests reading this! We're growing slowly but surely, and it makes me really happy to see. cup half full. loyal. gentle. sensitive. observant. hard worker. Fox has a positive outlook on life. When he attacks problems or when things come up, he doesn't get discouraged. He usually will assume the best in others before the worst (until proven otherwise). He is also a loyal friend, someone who will stick by his friends no matter what - even when he is pushed away, he understands that there are usually underlying reasons and that people are not as open. He is a very open individual and sensitive to the needs of others. He is soft spoken, not loud, and gentle in the way he handles situations. He especially loves animals and the care of animals. He is very observant when it comes to people and animals - he can usually figure out what their needs are without being told. The only downside to this was that when he was young he jumped ahead and acted on what he assumed was a need, when he misinterpreted that need. He still does it, but he does it less.
passive aggressive. prideful&vain. self sacrificing. pushover. He doesn't react to aggression with aggression. He has a very calm aura and is good at controlling his negative feelings - but since he's such a positive person, when attacked verbally he can usually see around the negative words. However, he is not completely impervious to frustration. When provoked enough, he is very passive aggressive. After someone has proved to have bad intentions, he is not so naive to let those sorts of people in. The exception to his passive aggression is when it comes to defending his friends. He can be provoked to physical defensive aggression. Fox knows his strengths - including physical strength. He is very confident in his abilities and his future, even if it's not very concrete. He likes to work out and is vain when it comes to his looks and self care. While he takes care of himself - he will neglect his own needs in order to help others. His family especially, but also his friends. He can be stubborn when it comes to working hard, but he's relatively a pushover in other parts of his life.
His mother ran away from the small town her senior year. She wanted to live a normal life - feeling like she had enough control over her ability to not need more instruction on the matter. She fell in love with a man with no power - but not long after they got together, Dahlia got pregnant with Fox. She had wanted to be a mother, but hadn't expected it to happen so soon... nor had she anticipated or thought about her ability passing down to her children. She hadn't told her boyfriend at the time about her ability, not until after they got married and Fox was about a year old... at which Jayson took the news with some shock. Dahlia took Fox to return to her home in the small town she grew up in, but after a couple of months, Jayson followed Dahlia and they lived with Kaia, Dahlia's divorced mother who was thrilled about being a grandma.
Then followed the rest of the children - Dahlia handled pregnancy well and loved being a mom. She was caring and was glad to have education that would help her children grow into their abilities. The town went from being a prison to Dahlia, to being the perfect place to raise her children. They live on a poorer income, Fox is working through academy in order to help his family bring in some more money - if only to save money in order to go to university.
Fox is the oldest of his siblings and as such was placed in a place of much pressure of being a good example and leader to his siblings...especially with so many sisters. While he grew up caring for all of his siblings, Holly's sweet and naive nature won him over. He spends the most time with her, playing with her and doing whatever she likes to do.
After getting through academy he moved out so he could live closer to campus. He works a job part time in a doctor's office and has decided to major in science. He would love to work with animals in the future, but after growing up with his family that struggled to support itself, right now his goal is to get into a medical school to be a doctor.
