Asher School of the Elements is a boarding school and university for the "gifted" - the secret subset of the population that is capable of controlling one of five elements. Fire, earth, air, water, and electricity. The gift is usually a hereditary one, although occasionally the gifted can pop up in otherwise normal families. Asher itself is a remote city located along the coast of Washington state, populated entirely by the gifted and their families.

DEC 7th I want to sincerely thank the members that have joined us, and welcome any guests reading this! We're growing slowly but surely, and it makes me really happy to see. Aria could be described as a hot head, stubborn girl. She likes what she likes and it is hard for her to change her mind. Aria found it hard to mesh with normal people and when her element gift started to show they moved to be close to the school to help her harness her gift. Through her stuberness is a big part of her personality, she is also a real true and loyal friend. Who will not think twice about telling you how it is straight to the point. If you are making a fool of yourself Aria will tell you. This has broken friendships of her before. She would be the first to step up and help her friends if they were in trouble or they were bullying them. Often ot thinking of the consequences that could have.
Aria has only a handful of close friends, but she knows a lot of people and at the first meeting would be friendly and polite. To try and sus you out before opening up to you or keeping you at arm's length. She is a person that would attract a lot of friends and bounce around from group to group but she knew who would stand by her through anything. Some of her weaknesses would be Halloween she loves the holiday over any other. Getting to dress as something scary she lives for. She is a sucker for a good hot chocolate on a cold morning. Her favourite animals is an otter. Aria loves being outdoors and exploring going on her own little adventures with friends.
Things that annoy her are people that are stuck up and trying to be someone else, not themself. Her mouth usually has a mind of its own and would already have voiced her opinion without thinking about that person. Aria cannot stand Coffee unless it's from a coffee shop and it's usually mixed with other flavours. Aria isn't a fan of heights after falling out of a high tree when she was younger and badly hurting herself, ending in a week spent in the hospital. It is the only things that will get Aria to clam up and stop being her outgoing full of energy self.
HISTORY
To know about Aria and her little family you have to look to the past.
Aria Grimm comes from a long line of highly gifted Fire elements. The gene has been passed down by generations, The Grimm's are quite successful Oil and Gas tycoons that reside in the Asher area. They live here as they can live without being judged form the non-gifted. They lived in a big house more like a mansion on the outside of the town. Many generations tend to reside in the house at one time as they are all very close.
This was the case And still is to this day the house is big enough to fit them all in. Currently still residing as the oldest member of the family is Arthur Grimm. He is the head of their company at present. However, he had two son’s, Bernard and Trevor. Bernard had four children three surviving until they were adults. His second child was peter and Aria dad. However, when he had left school and felt confident in himself he and his older brother Gavin left to explore the world they went to Europe for a while. Here Peter met a young lady called violet and fell madly in love. His older brother left Peter in England and went back to help with the family business. He was also set to marry another Gifted being. Violet was not gifted and this was a big thing for his family. They are very proud of their bloodline and would do anything to keep it pure and so all the children and generations where strong gifted ones. So when they found out about the growing love Peter had for this young lady they dragged him back to Asher. He was his brother's best man. But a year passed and eh grow more lonesome. So at the ripe age of 24, he ran away to violet in England. He hadn't told her about his gift and would keep it from her till it was necessary that he told her.
After peter ran away he was cut from the family and no one spoke of him. Their life went on building their great empire. As for Peter, he settled in England with Violet getting a little place of their own where he set to work in a bank and she was a school teacher. When he was around 27 and Violet 25 they started trying for a child, it would be a long two years but she fell pregnant. This is when he told her about his ability. She was shocked and for a few months didn't know what that meant for them. It all worked out in the end with Peter proposing to Violet. With a baby on the way, this sparked Peter to get back in touch with his family back in the states. Telling them about his soon to be wife and child. He got no response from them. This hurt Peter but he knew their views on who he was set to spend the rest of his life with.
9 months later in February their little girl Aria was born and a year later they were wed. Things were going great for the little family who was close to Violet's family. She had taken time out of work to look after Aria and her mother helped out when she went back. Peter took to life as a father going on trips and even changing a diaper or two. Arias personality started to grow as she did. This brought with it some other problems. Her gift came through too. Small things at first when she got frustrated or told something she didn't want to hear. She wasn't spoiled but things tended to go her way more often than not.
They thought they had a handle on it till she started school at the age of 5 and was soon the case of many unexplained accidents. Peter and violet made the decision to move to the only place Peter knew would be safe for Aria to grow up Asher. They got a small cottage in the town. Upon their first arrival back in the town, Peter went to his home to meet his parents and show them their grandkid however they refused to see them and shunned them away. Doing so it made it hard for Peter to get a job in the town and soon reverted to long-distance trucking. Violet was a teacher and fitted in with that a short drive from Asher to the local non-gifted school.
Aria didn't know of the other Grimm's until she started attending the academy, which brought up more questions for her. For the first few years, her father refused to answer them. But slowly whenever she saw him he would tell her about them and why they didn't talk any more. It was the same for her cousins most of them didn't like her at all there was only one that would be friendly towards her but only when they were alone. She loved attending the school and had many friends and did not fret about her cousins. Her powers grow as she did in the school. She had never really had a boyfriend though she was too awkward around boys in the sense anyway. Though towards the end of last year a guy who had just joined the school that year had caught her eye. They were in the same year he could control Air. They had many study sessions together. However, she was always too late to the part as her cousin had her claws in him already as she announced their dating. He looked embarrassed and she was gloating. Aria always told her friends that she thought her cousin only did it because she knew some ho she liked him. Aria is ready for the year of drama to continue…..
